Start You Up (SYU), will be hosting Desafio Brasil, the largest startup competition in the country sponsored by Intel and Fundacão Getulio Vargas. “This is the first time that Desafio Brasil comes to Vitoria. By bringing the event to our city, SYU is giving visibility to our entrepreneurial ecosystem”, said Marcilio Riegert, CEO at SYU and National Director of the Associacão Brasileira de Startups.

Seven finalists will be presenting to a panel of judges at SYU. Three winners will present at the Gazeta Auditiorium to a large audience. Winners will be sponsored by SYU to compete in Sao Paulo at the national event. In turn, winners in Sao Paulo will compete at the Intel Global Challenge that will be held in November 4 through 8 in Berkeley, CA.

Startups that win top positions at the regional competition will be admitted to the SYU Accelerator Program.

Start You Up is helping startups deal with the challenges that they confront as they bring their products to market by providing infrastructure such as a co-working space, legal, business, marketing mentorship and opportunities to present their ideas to investors regionally and internationally.

LSA and Start You Up are working together to link the Silicon Valley and Brazilian startup ecosystems.
